Job role: My role is to encourage and enable more older people to get and stay active. I work with a wide range of stakeholders across Greater Manchester to support the ambition of GM as an age friendly region, adopting a holistic approach to ageing well resulting in better health, well-being and independence.

Professional background: I started my career working in the fitness industry as a fitness instructor and personal trainer before going on to start a sports coaching company which provided training and support for primary school teachers looking to improve their skills and confidence teaching physical education lessons as well as providing a wide range of before and after school clubs. I hold a first-class degree in Physical Activity and Physical Education from Canterbury Christ Church University.
My previous roles have also included; primary school sports co-ordinator, School Games co-ordinator for Kent County Council, programme co-ordinator of an exercise referral scheme and most recently, working on the Local Pilot for GreaterSport.
Fun fact: I was born on the 8th August at 8am weighing 8lbs 8oz! My lucky number is 7.
