Dual Site Manager

At Leisure United, we’re more than just a workplace. We’re a community creating welcoming, inclusive hubs where football, fitness, health and community come together.

We are looking for an inspiring and experienced Dual Site General Manager to lead two brand-new community sports hubs in Wythenshawe: Wythenshawe Sports Ground and Wythenshawe Park. This is a rare opportunity to shape two major facilities from mobilisation through to successful day-to-day operation, building strong teams, trusted local partnerships and an outstanding experience for every visitor.

What you’ll be doing

You will initially be based at Wythenshawe Sports Ground, before expanding your remit to mobilise Wythenshawe Park ahead of its scheduled opening in Autumn 2027. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for operations and service delivery across both sites.

  • Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team, creating an inclusive, accountable and high-performing culture.
  • Oversee safe, welcoming and high-quality facilities, with strong standards in customer service, compliance and day-to-day operations.
  • Manage budgets, P&L, income forecasting and commercial performance, identifying opportunities to grow revenue and improve efficiency.
  • Shape inclusive programmes across football, multi-sport, physical activity, health and wellbeing.
  • Build productive partnerships with community organisations, education, health, sport, funders and public-sector stakeholders.
  • Take lead responsibility for health and safety, including audits, risk assessments, emergency response and accurate compliance records.
  • Champion access for underrepresented groups, including women and girls, and ensure both hubs serve people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a proactive and passionate leader who is ready to lead by our values every day, setting the tone for a welcoming, positive and high-performing environment for customers, partners and colleagues.

  • Is Here for Every Body – creates inclusive, accessible environments where people feel welcomed, respected and supported.
  • Is a Local Supporter – listens to the community, builds trust and develops partnerships that make a lasting local difference.
  • Raises Their Game – leads with accountability, uses data and insight to improve performance, and helps others achieve their best.
  • Keeps Playing – stays resilient, solutions-focused and hands-on when priorities compete or challenges arise.

You’ll also bring:

  • A minimum of five years’ management-level experience in leisure, hospitality or another service-led environment.
  • Proven multi-site management experience and strong operational and financial results.
  • Experience of leading, coaching and developing large, diverse teams.
  • A track record of delivering excellent customer experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Experience of P&L management, budgeting and financial forecasting. Strong organisation, communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to interpret data and KPIs, identify revenue opportunities and manage competing demands across two sites.
  • Flexibility to travel between sites and work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required.
  • Desirable: A degree or recognised management qualification such as ILM or NVQ Level 5; First Aid at Work; IOSH Level 3 or another relevant health and safety qualification; experience of leisure management systems; and local market knowledge.
