You will work collaboratively with residents, voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations, partners and stakeholders to strengthen communities, champion the benefits of physical activity and social connection, and develop sustainable solutions that are shaped by local needs.
As a Community Development Worker, you will be supporting individuals and groups to develop their ideas and initiatives, and contribute to creating healthier, more resilient communities where everyone feels safe, supported and able to thrive.
The postholder will also work across local, Greater Manchester and national systems to ensure that tackling health inequalities remains central to the design and delivery of physical activity and wellbeing opportunities in Oldham.
Salary: £32,061- £36,363 (£18,702- £21,211 pro rata) per annum NJC: NJC Grade 6 SP 19 to SO1 SP25
