Oldham consists of seven neighbourhood areas; Chadderton, Failsworth & Hollinwood, East Oldham District, West Oldham District, Royton, Shaw & Crompton, Saddleworth & Lees.

Oldham is estimated to be home to over 242,100 people. The Active Lives results published by Sport England (November 2022-Nov 2023) shows that 65.0% of adults in Oldham are active for at least 30 minutes a week, this equates to 122,700 adults moving. However this is a decrease of 11,200 from 12 months ago and we need to all keep working together to support active lives for all in Oldham.
