Rochdale Overview
Rochdale had recovered to baseline levels in the previous 12 months for both active (52.1%) and inactive (34.4%), but in the last 12 months has worsened (-3.6%) and (+1.2%) fallen back to or below baseline levels.
Inactivity
The inactive proportion has seen an increase in the last 12 months (+1.2%), similar to baseline (34.5%) but much higher than pre-pandemic levels (+5.5%).

Differences across demographics
Prior to the pandemic (2018-19) most demographics were reducing in inactivity, except those from lower socio-economic groups (NS SEC 6-8).
In the last 12 months, most have seen an increase in inactivity, except males, those aged 75+ and from White British ethnic groups, especially those from South Asian ethnic groups.
