Health and Fitness Instructor

Trafford Leisure is on the lookout for an Gym Instructor to join our team.

Location: move Urmston

Salary: £12.71 per hour. As a Real Living Wage employer, we will be reviewing this rate as part of our upcoming 2026 pay review.

Hours: Up to 36.25 hours available (Full-Time or Part-Time, please indicate in your application form your preference)

The Role:

We are looking for friendly, motivated and enthusiastic people to join our team at an exciting time of change for Trafford Leisure. As a Gym Instructor, you’ll help create a positive experience for everyone who visits move Urmston, supporting members to feel confident, safe and motivated while using our facilities.

In this role of Gym Instructor, you will be responsible for:

Welcoming customers and helping them feel comfortable in the gym
Showing people how to use equipment safely and giving fitness advice
Creating fitness programmes to support members’ goals
Teaching or covering classes and setting up equipment when needed
Keeping the gym clean, safe and tidy, and helping with membership enquiries
Qualifications We are Looking For:

Essential:

Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification
Desirable (please be encouraged to apply if you have any of these):

Level 3 Personal Training
Pre & Post‑Natal
GP Referral
Spin / Indoor Cycling
Group Exercise–specific qualifications
Hours:

Shifts will fall across our operational hours, which include:

Early starts from 6:00am
Late finishes up to 9:30pm
Weekend shifts, typically between 7:30am start and 6:00pm finish, on a set weekly roster
