Job role: To power the Marketing and Communications team in their ambition to share powerful public narrative and communications that engage and resonate with system-wide and community audiences through positive messaging, imagery, language and stories.

Professional background: I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in Environmental Management before taking a completely different route altogether and finding a job with Greater Manchester Police. I spent 9 years working for the GMP Media Team before moving to a UK-wide charity called V for Life. In both roles I was lucky to spend a lot of time working on some amazing campaigns that really made a difference at a grassroots level.
How movement brings me joy: My enjoyment of movement comes from exploring new places rather than just getting fit or playing games with lots of rules. I’m currently cycling the coastline of Britain in stages, doing a large chunk each year so I can really enjoy the journey. I’ve also bagged all the Wainwrights in the Lake District, walked through an abandoned tunnel under Liverpool, and kayaked across the world’s tallest canal aqueduct in Wales.
