GM Moving funding for sports cubs
These two new funds will help clubs to become even more safe, supportive, welcoming and inclusive environments.
What’s available
Fund 1: Training for Volunteers
- Up to £500 to fully fund training, workshops and education opportunities for club volunteers, parents and athletes
- Choose from our menu of welfare, inclusion, and safeguarding training from industry approved experts, or request training based on your clubs specific needs!
What’s available
Fund 2: Creating a positive culture
- Up to £250 to cover the costs of gathering athletes’ voice and listening to what your members want
- Up to £1500 to fund projects informed by your athletes’ voice that will create a positive culture at your club – one that is even more safe, supportive, welcoming and inclusive
Applying for funding

Groups applying should:
- Be based in Greater Manchester
- Deliver sports and physical activity to children and/or adults
- Have a constitution and a committee
- See the information booklet for full eligibility criteria

Application deadlines:
- Applications open on 24 February 2026
- Applications close on 12 April 2026

Decision making:
- Decisions will be made by a panel including a young person and community representation.
- Applicants will informed of outcomes by 21 April 2026
