We’re thrilled to be part of one of the official Fan Zones in Piccadilly Gardens, bringing people together to celebrate across two exciting match weekends.
The Women’s Rugby World Cup has arrived, with Manchester hosting 4 matches across two match weekends at Salford Community Stadium.
Manchester is proud to be hosting one of the official Fan Zones in Piccadilly Gardens where across two match weekends, fans, families, and visitors can enjoy the buzz of the tournament right in the heart of our city.
The Piccadilly Gardens Fan Zone is free to enter and offers a fantastic way to soak up the electric atmosphere, celebrate women’s sport, and be part of a truly global event.
The inaugural Fan Zone weekend over the bank holiday proved to be hugely successful, with tonnes of activities taking place including; Non-contact rugby sessions, Rugby Pass Accuracy inflatables, face paintings, crocheting, picnic area, colouring, giant Connect 4, giant O's & X’s, swing-ball and more.
Located around MCR Live Hub (25), enjoy local eateries and drinks. Families are welcome to bring picnics, food and on-alcoholic drinks from surrounding local establishments.
The Fan Zone returns again this weekend, with some new activities to enjoy so don’t miss out, there’s so much to get stuck into. If you are heading to the match, regular shuttle buses are operating to Salford from the City Centre.
