School Lettings Solutions (SLS) were founded in 2012 by Scott Warrington and Paul Andrews, providing a full lettings solution for more than 300 schools, academies and colleges across the UK to maximise the use of their facilities to the local community during evenings, weekends and school holidays.
By supporting educational facilities to make spaces available to local community out-of-hours, SLS has generated nearly £5m of revenue into schools in the 2018/19 academic year, when funding and staffing pressures are at an all-time high. The fast-growing enterprise now employs over 1000 people across the UK, as well as welcoming nearly 10,000 community groups into facilities every year.
Scott Warrington, Director and co-founder of SLS, said: “SLS is privileged to be part of the Greater Manchester Sports Awards and to be sponsoring the School Commitment to PE & Sport Award category. We chose this award because it recognises schools that have gone above and beyond to incorporate activity into every school day for pupils and for staff. This is something we feel really strongly about, as a company, and as individuals. Every day we see the difference in people that use school facilities for a whole range of activities and want to encourage more and more communities to get involved with their local schools and get active."
