The Unsung Hero Award recognises long term volunteers (over 10 years) who have made a significant difference over that timeframe. The awards will be presented on the 15th November at the Greater Manchester Sports Awards which recognise the incredible achievements and dedication towards physical activity and sport across the county. Find out more about the event here.

HGA are delighted for the second year running to be the official sponsors of the Unsung Hero Award; celebrating the unrelenting commitment and passion shown by all of this year’s finalists. The finalists in this category often go underappreciated for the sheer amount of time they sacrifice in order for others to take part in physical activity and sport. Often the finalists wear many hats, from being team managers, secretaries, kit-washers and everything in between – all for the benefit of others! Meet the finalists here.

For over thirty years, HGA has been exceeding expectations, pushing boundaries and exploring the latest technology to create unforgettable live experiences for our clients. Working together under one roof from our Manchester office, we produce events, design creative campaigns, build digital solutions and make films to strengthen brand identities, communicate stories and inspire delegates to drive real results. Within the HGA family we have over a century of experience, a diverse mix of backgrounds and are defined by a shared ambition to create, innovate and to challenge the ordinary.

Dan Laurence Managing Director at HGA said;

“For the second time, we are all really excited to be involved in the Greater Manchester Sports Awards, returning again not only as a category sponsor but in our role as event deliverers too. Our culture day-to-day is to always recognise hard work and dedication, which made sponsoring this category again a must for us so that we can do the same for all of the worthy nominees. We can’t wait to deliver a night to remember for them.”
