21st April Update

We have now made the difficult decision to cancel all County School Games competitions for the foreseeable future, this includes our U13 Handball on 23rd April, Year 5/6 Dodgeball on 19th May and the Summer Primary School Games and Summer Secondary Schools Games on 24th and 25th June. This decision has been made due to the continued uncertainty surrounding Covid-19 and with the best interests of our young people, deliverers and all those involved with the Greater Manchester School Games at its core.

To find out what activities you and your children can take part in please visit our Ways to Keep Moving page.

19th March Update

Following yesterdays announcement by the government that schools will be closing for the foreseeable future from Friday we will be delaying our review of School Games events until we have received confirmation on when schools will be reopening.

16th March Update

Following local advice and guidance regarding Covid-19 we have made the difficult decision to cancel all upcoming School Games events, including next week’s Greater Manchester Winter School Games.

We plan on reviewing this stance on the 17th April and we are currently discussing options for rearranging certain activities. We will release a further statement in due course.
