Oliver Thompson

Job role: To support the Marketing and Communications team in their ambition to share powerful public narrative and communications that engage and resonate with system-wide and community audiences through positive messaging, imagery, language and stories.

Date joined: Sept 2022

Professional background: I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in Environmental Management before taking a completely different route altogether and finding a job with Greater Manchester Police. I spent 9 years working for the GMP Media Team before moving to a UK-wide charity called V for Life. In both roles I was lucky to spend a lot of time working on some amazing campaigns that really made a difference at a grassroots level. 

Fun fact: I'm currently attempting to cycle the coast of Britain in stages, which includes a lot more hills than I anticipated, as well as a seemingly endless headwind! I'll let you know how I get on.
