Trafford Leisure has an exciting opportunity for a Business Finance Support to join the team.

Location: Trafford Leisure Support Office, Timperley (travel to our sites in Altrincham, Sale, Stretford and Urmston will be required). This is a hybrid role, with core office days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You may be asked to attend other sites or come into the office on additional days depending on workload. We aim to be a flexible organisation and will do our best to accommodate individual circumstances where operationally possible.

Salary: 25,552.80 per annum

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

The Role:

As Business Finance Support, you will provide high-quality administrative support to the Finance and Commercial team, with a primary focus on maintaining the purchase ledger, managing the purchase order (PO) system, and handling day-to-day finance queries via the dedicated finance email inbox. You will play a key role in supporting business processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring strong communication between the finance function and operational teams. This role also includes business partnering responsibilities which involve fostering collaborative working relationships between operations and central support teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the purchase ledger, process invoices, and reconcile supplier statements.
  • Manage the end-to-end PO process, ensuring correct coding and authorisation.
  • Monitor and respond to queries via the finance email inbox.
  • Build strong relationships with operational teams to resolve queries and improve processes.
  • Support income monitoring, monthly reporting, and financial data entry.
  • Assist in preparing reports and data for financial decision-making.
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Support payroll and HR administration tasks.
  • Assist with monthly and year-end reporting and audit preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with financial procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Support implementation of new finance systems and digital tools.

About You:

  • GCSE in Maths and English Grade 6 (Grade C) or above.
  • A strong interest in finance and accounting, with support provided to study towards AAT or equivalent.
  • Experience in an administrative or finance support role.
  • Experience managing a purchase ledger or PO system is desirable.
  • Confident with numbers and financial data.
  • Strong IT skills, especially Excel and Outlook.
