Open to veterans and family members. Open canoeing, dinghy sailing, windsurfing & paddleboarding. All equipment, wetsuits and full instruction included.

Goldcrest Archers

Archery for veterans and family members.

Free beginners courses run on Wednesday evenings. Following completion of the beginners course, you will have the opportunity to become a member of the club with a 50% discount for the first year (just £70 with discount).

Regular sessions for members are on Saturdays and Sundays (am and pm).

Riding Club - Wigan Borough Armed Forces HQ

Open to complete beginners or returners, taster group riding lessons will be offered by a qualified instructor at Parbold Equestrian Centre. This is open to veterans, family members and their carers.

Recycling Minds - Wigan Borough Armed Forces HQ

A group for cycling enthusiasts of all levels. This is open to veterans, family members and their carers. Own bike currently required but will soon be purchasing bikes to hire free of charge.

Stronger Heroes - Wigan Borough Armed Forces HQ

A return to fitness programme, personalised to each participant and in a welcoming group environment. Sessions will take place at the HQ, running for 12 weeks, which will include an initial assessment of mobility and nutrition and enable you to set your own goals. This is open to veterans, family members and their carers.
