Dan Roberts

Job role: My role is to build knowledge, skills and understanding around why people do and don’t volunteer within Greater Manchester whilst ensuring volunteering is inclusive and the diversity of volunteers reflect demographics of GM.

Date joined: May 2019

Professional background: I’m a recent graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University where I spent four years studying Sports Management. Since coming to Manchester to study, I have found a new passion within sport through volunteering within projects, events and ambassadorial roles. Over my four year course volunteering gave me opportunities to experience sport in entirely new ways. I also spent 12 months working with MMU Sport to support the development of students and the volunteering offer within sport at the university.

I have recently joined GreaterSport to continue pursuing my passion within volunteering and to support others to become aware of the benefits that volunteering can bring.

Fun fact: I am fluent in Welsh.
