Job role: I am responsible for leading on the Active Older Adults priority as part of our strategy. My ultimate goal and ongoing work involves collaborating with the GM Ageing hub and the wider eco-system to make active ageing a central pillar within the Greater Manchester Ageing agenda. I continue to support the established Greater Manchester age friendly city-region status, enabling better health, wellbeing, and independence for older people.

Date joined: May 2018

Professional background: Having graduated with a degree in Sports and Exercise Science in 2015, I then went on to study a post-graduate diploma in Physical Activity and Health.  Physical activity and sport have been a passion of mine from a very young age and I have longed to pursue a career that can have a positive impact on lives through participation in physical activity.

Fun fact: I came face to face with a hippo whilst camping at the side of the River Nile in Uganda.
